What department do you work in and what is your job title?
I am a Slot Supervisor in the Slot Operations department. In other words, I supervise on the casino floor.
How long have you been employed by the Tribe?
I’ve worked for the Tribe for about a year and a half.
What’s the best thing about your job?
I really enjoy the rapport I have with the team and our awesome regulars.
What’s the best thing about Kalispel Tribe?
The Kalispel Tribe is very generous toward team members and the community.
What does your workspace look like?
My workspace looks like the casino floor. Occasionally, I work on tasks in the Slots office, but mostly you’ll find me cleaning, maintaining machines, or serving customers.
Why did you want to come work for Kalispel Tribe?
I had heard great things about how they take care of their employees, and I knew there were opportunities to learn and grow here.
What are your hobbies?
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I like to go try new restaurants, cook, watch TV, read, hike, go to concerts, go swimming and the list goes on. I just try to enjoy life and have new experiences as much as possible.
What or who inspires you?
My family inspires me. Everything I do is to try and give them comfortable lives and create security for our future.
What are the words you live by?
“This, too, shall pass.” It really comes in handy in those tough moments.
How do you define success?
I define success as being safe, secure, and satisfied in all aspects of one’s life. In regards to work, specifically, I think success is when you have found a role in which you enjoy the nature of your work and are good at it, you get along well with your coworkers, you make enough to be comfortable and have a few luxuries, and you have opportunities for growth if you so choose it.
What is your favorite event that Kalispel Tribe puts on?
I think the car show we host every year is pretty cool. Who doesn’t like a beautiful classic car?
