What department do you work in and what is your job title?

I work under the Kalispel Tribal Court. I am the Juvenile Justice Coordinator.

How long have you been employed by the Tribe?

I am in my seventh year working for the Kalispel Tribe.

What’s the best thing about your job?

I think the best part of my job is seeing the youth develop into positive young adults and possibly I have helped them in a small way.

What’s the best thing about Kalispel Tribe?

I think the best thing about the Tribe is its core values. They are there for their people, the community as a whole, and value family so much.

What does your workspace look like?

I haven’t been in this position very long so it kind of looks like I am just renting a small room and share a workstation with others.

What’s been one of your proudest moments working at Kalispel Tribe?

On occasion, I have had youth thank me for something I did for them. Whether it be a message, thank you card, etc. Anytime I get one of those.

What or who inspires you?

Good question, different people inspire me in different ways. I think WHAT inspires me is not what people do but how they do it. Doing it kindly and with good intentions.

Fill in the blank: I once met…

Hmm, if getting autographs from my favorite Mariners count, Felix Hernandez while he signed a ball for my daughter and took a moment to say hello. Other than that, nothing really stands out. BTW, I kept the baseball and have it on display, my daughter isn’t allowed to touch it, haha.

How do you define success?

Achieving any goal you have and doing it the right way.

What is your favorite event that Kalispel Tribe puts on?

I would say the summer slam basketball tournament in 2019 and the annual Pow-wow.

What are five words (or less) of advice for others in your profession?

It may make a difference.
