A Vision For Central Pend Oreille

The Kalispel Tribe is creating a Master Land Use Plan. The purpose of this plan is to create a vision and strategy for the future of the Kalispel Reservation and surrounding areas. This is your opportunity to tell us specifically where opportunities and challenges exist within Central Pend Oreille County and the communities of Cusick and Usk. Project Overview

The Kalispel Tribe has partnered with SCJ Alliance to create a Master Land Use Plan consistent with the local vision, tribal planning documents, and land use related studies. The purpose of this plan is to create a strategic plan for where and how the Kalispel Tribe focuses on development. Development areas include economic opportunities, housing, and essential services. The Master Land Use Plan will also include an implementation strategy to achieve the Kalispel Tribe’s goal to develop a resilient economy and invest in essential services to meet the goal of self-sufficiency guiding the development of strategic actions.
