What is your Job Title and what department do you work in?

I work in the Kalispel Tribe finance department as a Loan Specialist.

What is the best thing about your job?

The best thing about my job is working with the Tribal Members on a daily basis and working with a great team of people.

What is the best thing about Kalispel Tribe?

The Kalispel Tribe is by far a 10 on a scale of 1-10 for being a great employer. They care for their people and treat their employees like family.

What does your workspace look like?
We are a two-person office and we have something going on all the time. Never a boring moment.

What has been one of your proudest moments working at Kalispel Tribe?

I have lived in Usk since I was 3 and always felt a closeness to the Kalispel’s so just working for them makes me proud.

What do you like to do when you are not at the office?

We love to ATV in our local mountains, play cards with friends and spend time with family.

If you could pick one person that inspires you, who would it be and why?

The person that inspires me the most is Lane Berendt.  Lane and I have worked together since 2006. Lane is a good person and cares for people. He has a special way with words and is not a dummy.(hahaha)  He inspires people to do their best at whatever they are doing all the time and I feel he has helped many Tribal Members with their lives.

What advice would you give to today’s youth?

My advice to today’s youth would be to take time to be a kid, read history and respect yourself and others.  Take time to listen to stories that your parents and grandparents tell you about how it was in their day and try to keep a positive attitude and always be ready to help others.

What are five words (or less) of advice for others in your profession?

Listen and Learn from all experiences.
