Kalispel Language and Culture Alliance (KLCA) returns Kalispel language and culture to community daily life. Through the creation of language spaces, schools, and language tools, we are developing the next generation of speakers and teachers. Research and western science have affirmed this collective knowledge, Native languages are a protective factor for health and wellness (McIvor, Napoleon, & Dickie, 2009).
