What department do you work in and what is your job title?

Camas Center Clinic- Medical Reception Specialist

How long have you been employed by the Tribe? I have been employed by the Kalispel Tribe for 8 months.

What’s the best thing about your job?

Helping the community and feeling appreciated by the patients and co-workers.

What’s the best thing about Kalispel Tribe?
The Community Members are all close-knit and really take care of one another.

What does your workspace look like?

My workspace is very small and organized just like I like it.

What are your hobbies?
Spending as much time with the people I love, reading books, and napping.

What or who inspires you?
My Grandparent’s words inspire me. They have all passed on, when I think of them the words “If you are going to do something, do it with pride and do your best!”

What are the words you live by?
“Give until it hurts” “Keep trying” “Do your best”

How do you define success?

To one day hear your name being spoken. No matter who it is, they have good things to say about you and the things you have done in your lifetime.

What is your favorite event that Kalispel Tribe puts on?
The Holiday parties. I love the promotion of family time and coming together.

What are five words (or less) of advice for others in your profession?
Do not take things personally.

What advice would you give to younger tribal members?

You will fail, but do not be afraid to get up and try again. All you can do is try your best and keep on going.
