What is your Job Title and what department do you work in?
I am an Operations Specialist and I work for the Kalispel Tribe Public Safety Department.
Q: Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Northwest Iowa and spent most of my life in the Mid-West United States,
Q: How long have you worked for Kalispel Tribe?
I started with the Kalispel Tribe in Security at Northern Quest in January 2016. I transferred to Public Safety in August 2016.
Q: What department do you work in and what does your workday look like?
I work in Public Safety as the Department’s Operations Specialist. I managed most of the Administrative paperwork for Law Enforcement and Fire. Which includes OnBase entries, Fire Reports, etc. I also am the Grants Administrator for the Law Enforcement Division. While on Shift at the Public Safety Building, I also respond to Medical/Fire Calls as an EMT and a Wildland Fire Fighter. During off-hours, I also respond to emergency calls when available.
Q: What do you like most working for Kalispel Tribe?
Being there to assist Tribal/Community Members. Also working with the other employees of the Kalispel Tribe, especially the Team of the Police/Fire Department.
Q: What are your hobbies?
Boating and enjoying the Pacific Northwest Weather, as well as traveling back to Iowa where my daughter, two sons, and two grandchildren live.
Q: What is your favorite event that the Kalispel Tribe puts on?
The Pow Wow. I normally am working as an EMT during the event and seeing all of the Tribal Members and their families enjoy this event.
