Since our first documented contact with explorers and settlers, it has been said that the Kalispel Tribe is hospitable, generous, and kind. Our sense of family extends beyond our blood lines, and any who seek a hospitable welcome find it here. It would only make sense for our businesses to employ individuals who embody what we now call “Kalispel Hospitality." Kalispel Hospitality extends beyond our businesses in the service industry, and is embodied everywhere, especially at our medical and dental clinic.
Dr. Rajeev Rajendra, or “Dr. Raj” as he is known to his patients joined the staff at the Camas Clinic in March of 2016. Dr. Raj believes that medical practice is a lifelong commitment to the service of people. He considers everyone who walks through the doors of the clinic to be family, and treats their concerns and issues with the compassion we would expect from our own family members.
Dr. Raj came to the United States to pursue his graduate studies and received a master’s degree in Pharmacology and Toxicology from the University of Maryland. He worked there designing and coordinating clinical trials in Radiation and Medical Oncology. This was followed by additional training in internal medicine at Indiana University Health Ball Memorial Hospital and culminated with a Hematology Oncology Fellowship at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, University of Washington.
